Comedy Playground offers humour-infused workshops designed to build confidence, sharpen communication and spark creative thinking at work. These interactive sessions draw on the tools of stand-up to strengthen storytelling, improve presentation skills and help people communicate with more personality, energy and impact.

Humour intelligence is about how we think, connect and communicate. It's the ability to read the room, think on your feet, find fresh perspectives and communicate in ways that feel genuinely human. Drawing on the tools of stand-up, storytelling and performance, workshops help people build confidence, sharpen communication and bring more personality, spontaneity and creative thinking to work.

Four Interconnected Themes

Good communication isn't just about having something to say. It's about knowing what to say, how to shape it, how to think differently, and how to deliver it. Humour Intelligence workshops develop four interconnected skills, drawing on techniques from comedy, storytelling and performance.

WHAT YOU SAYCommunicate with Impact

Make your message clear, engaging and worth listening to.

Learn how to get to the point without losing your personality, hook your audience from the start, and use humour to create connection.

Useful for: explaining complex ideas, getting to the point, influencing conversations, leading meetings and making everyday communication clearer and more engaging.

HOW YOU SHAPE IT - Storytelling That Sticks

Stories give ideas shape, emotion and meaning.

Find the story hiding inside the information and shape it to build curiosity, create connection and hold attention. Use surprise, contrast and detail to turn facts and ideas into messages people remember.

Useful for: presentations, pitches, case studies, turn data or information into compelling stories people remember.

HOW YOU EXPLORE IT - Spark Fresh Thinking
Unlock ideas, challenge assumptions and encourage creative problem-solving.

Comedy thrives on looking at familiar things from unexpected angles. Through playful, practical exercises, participants loosen habitual thinking patterns, challenge assumptions and explore new ways of approaching problems.

Useful for: creative teams, brainstorming, innovation, problem-solving and teams that feel stuck in familiar ways of thinking.

HOW YOU DELIVER IT - Own the Room
Presence isn't about being the loudest person in the room. It's about making people want to listen when you speak.

Using techniques from stand-up, performance and communication coaching, learn to use your voice, body language and presence to hold attention, handle nerves, read the room and respond confidently in the moment - while still being yourself.

Useful for: presentations, panels, pitches, meetings, public speaking and anyone who wants to feel more confident in front of other people.

In addition, for team building...
